The Creative Sound Cooperative is composer/performer Carl Testa's New Haven Artist Corps project funded by the Mellon Foundation. It focuses on bringing communities together to share knowledge, stories, and resources with each other and the wider community in free to attend talks and workshops open to the community.
All events are free, registration required
Six events bringing together creative communities in New Haven that are focused on sound, history, community, and creative technology. Event series is supported by the Greater New Haven Arts Council Artist Corps program which is funded in part by the Mellon Foundation.

Join composer and violinist Rosalie Coleman as she leads a workshop focused on the Hydra live coding instrument. Using only a web browser, you can create dynamic visuals using the free, open-source Hydra tool. You will write code to generate visuals and manipulate them in real-time.

Spoken word artists Tahj Galberth and Jason Dorsey co-facilitate a workshop where participants will learn how to craft their own spoken word pieces and integrate them into a spatial audio system (provided by composer Carl Testa) to physically move their words in space as part of their performance.
